Home Price Comparison Index
What is Your Home Worth In Another City?

The Home Price Comparison Index provides an index number that gives you an idea of how much your home might cost in any one of nearly 300 markets across North America.

  1. Find the index number of the destination city where you plan to move and multiply it by the market value of your current home
  2. Divide that number by the index number of the market where your current home is located

The result is the Estimated Value of your home at your destination market.

For example, if you live in Greenwich, Connecticut, in a home with a market value of $595,000, approximately what would it cost to replace it with a similar home in Scottsdale, Arizona?

$595,000 x 98 / 323 = $180,526

To replace a $595,000 home in Greenwich with a comparably-size property in Scottsdale, expect to pay approximately $180,526.
